Café Al Qishla

«قهوة القشلة» مقهى تراثي في حارة اليهود قرب باب شرقي في دمشق القديمة، يشغل بيتاً دمشقياً قديماً رُمّم وحافظ على طابعه الأصيل. يتوسّطه فناء واسع مسقوف فيه بحرة ماء ويطلّ عليه إيوان تقليدي، وتزيّن جدرانَه الحجرية النباتاتُ والتحف القديمة. يقدّم مشروبات ساخنة وباردة غير كحولية ووجبات خفيفة كالكريب والسندويشات، ويضم ركناً لبيع المشغولات الحرفية المحلية.

Café Al Qishla is a heritage café in the Jewish Quarter near Bab Sharqi in Old Damascus, set in a restored old Damascene house that keeps its original character. At its centre is a large covered courtyard with a fountain overlooked by a traditional iwan, with plants and old artefacts decorating its stone walls. It serves hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks and light bites such as crêpes and sandwiches, and has a gift corner selling locally made crafts.
